A well-prepared research proposal is crucial in applications for PhD and other research programmes. This is an intensive two-day online course offered to PhD Aspirants in Psychology and related fields intended to provide hands-on training in drafting an academic research proposal.
This course introduces participants to the fundamentals of preparing a research proposal. On the first day of the course, participants will be trained in formulating meaningful research questions, doing a literature review, planning research design and methods and constructing the proposal. On the second day, the participants will present proposals prepared by them and receive critical feedback and discussion.

Dr. Chinchu C
Dr. Chinchu C. is a Consulting Psychologist, Personnel Trainer, Writer and Research Consultant. He has an experience of more than 15 years in training and science popularization and 8 years experience in social science research. His research interests lie in Mental Health, Inclusivity, and Gender and Sexuality. He has conducted a national level workshop and has handled academic and professional training sessions on various topics such as Research Methodology, Mental Health, and Personal Effectiveness.
He is associated with Research Scholars’ Collective of Yuvasamithi, KSSP and also with Association for Social Change, Evolution and Transformation (ASCENT), a non-profit NGO, apart from other professional and social collectives. He holds a PhD in Psychology and has acquired PG degrees in Applied Psychology and Sociology and has also qualified UGC NET in Psychology, Sociology, Women Studies, Human Resource Management, and Comparative Study of Religions, with JRF qualification in Psychology and Women Studies. He has journal publications, book chapter, and popular writings in diverse areas to his credit. He has undertaken research projects in the areas of disability rehabilitation and skill development and is a peer reviewer for journals and publishers.
At present he is working as Research Associate at Women's Studies Centre, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and as visiting faculty with National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)
Anita Joshua is currently a Doctoral Scholar working in the area of Adolescent Mental Health in the Department of Applied Psychology, Central University of Tamil Nadu. She is also a Consultant Psychologist hailing from Kozhikode, Kerala. She completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore. She has qualified UGC NET in Psychology in 2017. Her areas of interests include teaching, counselling and research.
