We don't usually pay much attention to references and citations when writing an article. However if you plan to submit a manuscript to a journal, or while writing your dissertation, referencing takes up a lot of time and sometimes makes us frustrated with all those periods, commas, and italics.
Zotero is a free software which not only helps in arranging and storing all those articles and notes in one place but also saves a lot of time by generating citations and references in a style of your choice, such as APA, MLA, Chicago etc.
